Joining The Beatles and Replacing Pete Best
Ringo quit Rory Storm and the Hurricanes in January 1962 and briefly joined Tony Sheridan in Hamburg before returning to the Hurricanes. On August 14, 1962, he accepted John Lennon’s invitation to join The Beatles. Two days later, Beatles manager Brian Epstein fired drummer Pete Best.
